I have RIVETS, COUNTERSINKS, DRILL BITS and RIVET SETTING TOOLS For Sale. One stop shopping. Get a parts kit, get a plate, borrow a hammer and a drill motor. I’ve got the rest.

I STOCK AND SELL THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

60 degree BFH-spec, 1917a1 / 1919 rivets. See below for details.

1) Forward Top plate rivet, #7. I give you both a round head and 60 deg. countersunk rivet.
2) Rear Top plate rivet, #7.
3) Forward Cartridge stop.
4) Rear Cartridge stop rivet, #7.
5) Large Trunion rivets, 11/32”.
6) Bottom plate and Pintle pad rivets, 3/16”
7) Long Pintle pad rivet, 3/16”.

1917 / 1919 BHPB and Cam Rivets.

I now have them available for those of you building a 1917, or wanting to replace the BHPB or Cams. These were made using original 1919 drawings (thank you Rollin and Sam), but a little extra length has been added in case the holes were damaged during the demil. process. You need four of each, I give you six.

Browning .50 M2 / M3 Rivets:

Many people have asked for these, so here they are.

1) 60 degree 3/16 x 11/16  (60)
2) Round head 5/32 x ½    (12)
3) 60 degree 3/16 x 1 3/16   (6)
4) Round head 3/16 x 2 ¾   (5)

These, like my 1919 rivets, are not Mil-spec. (those are a countersunk roundhead rivet), they are made for the home builder. The rear Top plate and Bottom plate, bottom front and bolt hold back rivets have a small 60-degree head so they can be bucked for peening like those in a 1919. The small 60-degree head means less of your Side plates wind up on the shop floor. The long Trunion rivets and 5/32” rivets have conventional pan heads. All rivets are a little long. Rivets can be shortened much easier than they can be lengthened (they can’t), so there is extra length to fill holes enlarged or otherwise boogered during the demil process. Extra rivets of all sizes are provided.

FN 30 rivets:

Here they finally are. I've been messing with these a while, sent out some Beta sets a while back. Even considered dropping the project. Recently I had a chance to do another run of 5mm rivets, so what the heck.

The set:

1) 5mm 60 deg. countersunk: These are used in the Top cover, Bottom cover, Trunnion (center), and Cocking block/top cover. 35 are needed, I give you 40. These must be cut to four different lengths; I just can't do it on this low volume an item.
2) 5mm round head: These are used in the lower Trunnion.
3) Belt Holding Prawl Bracket rivets.
4) Front sight block and upper Trunnion rivets. Three different diameters. Extra length is provided to fill demil damage.
5) Bottom rear Trunnion rivets.

Cobalt Drill Bits and Countersinks, available in sets:

3/16 Cobalt 135 deg split point bit used for small rivet holes.
#7 Cobalt 135 deg split point bit for Top Plate and rear cartridge stop rivet holes
.
11/32 Cobalt
135 deg split point drill bit used for large, trunion rivet holes.
3/16-7/16, No. 5, Cobalt combined drill and countersink, 60 or 90 deg. (please specify)

PINTLE HOLE BITS: I have 9/16 and 5/8 (please specify, if you don't I'll ship a 5/8ths) HSS 118 deg. 1/2 in shank Silver and Deming drills. 4140 steel is tough on HSS, but if you're just enlarging a 9/16th hole, or the Cobalt 11/32 is used first to drill a pilot hole, this should get you done (with a little oil and patience). This is the same imported bit for which my local Lowe’s is getting $17.00.

RIVET SETTING TOOLS:

I have 3 1/2" and 1 1/8" straight .401 shank rivet setting tools. With between 1/8 and 5/32 of the rivet shank protruding, these will make a rivet head very similar to the factory rivets. Experiment first of course. These are high alloy, heat-treated steel, with highly polished concaves. Though designed for rivet guns, a large hammer (BFH) works too.

I also now have a fixture and rivet setting tool for use in hydraulic presses.

This is a round fixture that can be attached to a hydraulic press. It is made from flanged, 1" pin stock with a corrosion resistant finish. A 10-32, hex drive set screw is installed to hold the short rivet setting tool in the fixture. The fixture is shown with the rivet setting tool both installed and removed. In the center of the photo is the fixture attached to a 1" rod. A sleeve is required to attach the fixture to the hydraulic ram. Many other people do a better job making sleeves than do I. Some of these are shown below.

Commercially available Sleeves:

This is a 1 X 3 in. Steel Solid Coupling made by Climax Metal Products. It's available at Fastenal (part No. 0403180) for about $15.00.

This is a Welda-hub X-series 1" bore (Item # X1C, shown above) from the folks at Valu-Bilt Tractor Parts. It's available at Tractor Supply for about $8.00.

Fixture and rivet setting tool price: $28.00, shipping is included. That gets you up and running for $35.00 to $40.00.

Rivets I set with the 3 1/2" tool and a BFH (yes, the Park is green).
