Are you a "Gun guy?"
I'm a "gun guy," just like you. Grew up around them, seven years active duty military service, the whole nine yards. As I built a few different parts kits, I noticed they all had one thing in common: They all required speciality tooling I didn't own. And of course, no one source had everything required to build any given parts kit. By the time I paid $10.00 "shipping and handling" on three different $5.00 items, I was getting a bit annoyed. It occured to me, If I'm having trouble getting all this stuff, other people must be too. So to spread out the shipping costs, I bought a dozen of each bit required to build a 1919a4 (the then current project), and offered the remaining 11 to the gang at www.1919a4.com. Demand was overwhelming; in the first three weeks I made two additional orders while board members begged me to expand the line. So I did.
What's in a name?
We're located in Milledgeville, the antebellum capital of Georiga. You can't toss a dead cat in this town without hitting a business named "Old Capital..." whatever. It starts with Old Capital Drywall, and finally ends with Old Capital Wrecker Service. Boring. Well anyway, during that little misunderstanding known as the War Between the States (or the American Civil War, or the War of Northern Aggression, etc.) Sherman paid us a visit. The fact that the folks of Georgia held their secession vote, well... here, wasn't something the general thought kindly of. So he torched the place. Burnt Capital.
